Mission Emanuel focuses on the following ministries in an effort to serve the community:
Education:
Mission Emanuel’s founding purpose was to educate Dominican children. The two schools serve over 500 students ranging from preschool to 8th grade.
Home improvement:
As Mission Emanuel has grown in the community, it has formed relationships with many families. Opportunities to build new homes for those in need are widely available. Many US groups have participated in major home improvements and new construction.
Healthcare:
Taking care of the community health is of utmost importance. Mission Emanuel is able to offer help through medical and dental clinics. The 2nd floor of our Medical Center opened in 2009 and provides physical therapy, pediatrics, dental care and community healthcare initiatives. Future plans include pre and post natal care, an apartment for visiting medical personnel, and family counseling services. The 1st and 3rd floors are still under construction. To read more about our healthcare, go to the Clinics page.
Women’s Cooperative: ( website )
In a community where finding work is a daily challenge, the Mission Emanuel Women’s Cooperative gives women an opportunity to receive training enabling them to produce a viable income. The group is currently making handmade Christmas ornaments. They previously made tote bags and are also making jewelry. Their goods can be sold in local and international markets.
Water Filtration Center: ( website )
Opened in Fall 2007, Provision del Cielo offers pure water to the citizens of Cielo, Nazaret, and beyond. Through this ministry, men, women, and children can afford clean water for use in daily life. This will have a tremendous impact on health and well-being. Click here for more info.
Local church:
A partnership with Cielo Evangelical Church allows us to entrust the relationships that we build to Dominicans who will invest in life-long discipleship.

The Sponsorship Program is a way to build a relationship that will last through the most important years of a child's life. For $30 per month a child can receive medical attention and an education, but it means so much more. It is a chance to extend your family. Through letters and trips to the community, you can share the little joys in life and see the world through their eyes.
It is also an opportunity to be as Christ instructed, by serving the least among us. What is difficult to describe is that the joyful smiles of these children, experienced in the communion of friends, becomes tangible evidence of God's care and grace for all of us. Visit our children that are in need of sponsorship.
