Mission Emanuel Water Treatment Facility
-
Mission Emanuel is currently building a water purification system in Cielo (Spanish word for Heaven). It’s quite an undertaking, but the prospects for greater health in the community and expanding ministry opportunities are phenomenal.
We recently had our annual Men's Trip in the last week of April. While there, the men built the storage area for the water system, front patio, and upstairs cistern area.

When finished, it will have the
capacity to clean and refill 2,000 5-gallon bottles per day. We will be able to sell these bottles for a third of the prevailing rate and of course, give it away to the poorest of the poor who now drink polluted water.
The Haina river basin, which flows 3 blocks from our Cielo hilltop property, is one of the ten most polluted rivers in the world. Not surprisingly, 80% of the sick people treated in our clinic are due to water-related illnesses. This outreach will have the potential of touching every home in Bayona, a community of over 60,000 people.
We hope to open in 60 days, but need to raise the remaining funds. We have a special need for $15,000 right now to complete this crucial project. Would you please prayerfully consider a one-time special gift to complete this desperately needed outreach?
