Apolonia Paulo Perez, or Aleja, lives in Cielo with her husband, Dario Emilio. They have four children: Angela Massiel, Sandy Emilio, Larimar Emilia, and Gabriela. Aleja studied through the third grade and now dedicates her time to taking care of her family. In 2007, her house was completed by Mission Emanuel. Aleja enjoys working with the Co-Op and is quite proficient. She always has a smile on her face and appreciates your interest in her work.

Daisi Oviedo lives in Cielo just across the street from Aleja. She and her husband, Jose Manuel, have four children: Jose Vidal, Jose Alberto, Daniel Alexander, and Yaerlin de la Rosa Cruz. In March 2007, a group of students from Wake Forest University finished a new house for the family. Daisi studied through the sixth grade and is very talented in working with her hands. She is very creative and a quick learner.

Enerolisa Sanchez was born in the province of Monte Plata. She now lives with her husband, Edward Mateo, in the community of Ivan Guzman Klang in Bayona. They have two sons, Erick and Joel. Several years ago, with the help of some American friends, they brought Joel to the US to have a brain tumor removed. The surgery was successful and Joel is still undergoing physical therapy. In 2007, Edward was hired to manage the Mission Emanuel water plant, Provision del Cielo. Along with Enerolisa's successful work through the Co-Op, their family has been dramatically impacted by the work of Mission Emanuel.

Glendis Mendoza lives on the main property of Mission Emanuel in Cielo. Her husband, Vijo, works as caretaker of the ministry facilities. They have three children, Javier, Eslaidy, and Escarli. Glendis works as a teacher in the Emanuel School. She is one of the three leaders of the Women's Co-Op ministry.

Isa Margarita Mendez Caraballo and her husband, Domingo, have three children: Carlos Alfredo, Patricia, and Juan Jose. She dedicates her time to the care of her home and family. Isa is very talented and enjoys making the Christmas ornaments. She very much enjoys her time with the Co-Op women and hopes to learn more skills to increase her handiwork.

Ivelisse Minaya and her husband, Victor, live just outside the front gate of the Mission Emanuel campus. They have four children, Keidy, Kelvin, Chantal, and Suleidy. Their children are students in the Mission Emanuel school. Victor occasionally works as a painter on construction jobs for the ministry. Ivelisse would love to be able to open her own hair salon. She hopes that her work with the Co-Op will help her to realize her dream.

Lourdes resides in Cielo with her grandchildren. She has been their primary caregiver since her daughter passed away. Lourdes was invited to join the Co-Op after an American friend discovered a sewing machine in her home. She is a skilled seamstress, but does not have steady work. The Co-Op has brought her friendship with other women as well as a way to use her talent.

Margarita Herrera lives in Bayona near the community of Cielo. She takes care of her two children, Heidi and Yassir. Her other children live in the US with their father. She has not seen them in several years. Margarita enjoys painting and sewing and is the most recent member to the Co-Op.

Maria Elena Villar, or Mari, resides in Cielo with her husband Alejandro and their four children, Alex, Marianny, Manuel, and Angel. Mari spends her time taking care of her children, especially Alex, who suffers from cerebral palsy. Mari can often be seen carrying Alex to and from his physical therapy at the Mission Emanuel clinic. She has a heart for people and loves to sing praises to God.

Marien Perez Romero, or Mari, lives in Cielo with her husband Alberto Encarnacion. They have two daughters, Eva Nicol and Ana Francesca. Mari enjoys having visitors in her home, especially English-speakers as she can practice some of the English she has learned. She has a bright personality and always greets you with a smile and hug.

Mary Rosa Perez lives in Cielo with husband Tony and their five children. In 2004, a group of college students were able to help finish their house. The family can often be found helping to take care of an elderly neighbor. They have faced new challenges as Mary Rosa has been sick for the past several months. She is faced with a possible diagnosis of breast cancer and is undergoing treatment to discover the exact problem. Please pray for Mary Rosa as she is concerned about the well-being of her family during this time.

Enercida "Ney" Maria Reyes is one of the three leaders of the Women's Co-Op. She is also the director of the Emanuel School in Cielo. Ney and her husband, Jose, live in Nazaret. They have three children: Starlin, Mariela, and Diana. They are very active in the Cielo Evangelical Church. Ney is also very talented and creative. She enjoys making the Christmas ornaments, sewing, and painting.

Petronila del Orbe lives in Cielo just behind the Mission Emanuel youth center building. She is a single mother of four. Two of her sons work for Mission Emanuel and help serve the American groups that come to work. Petronila sometimes works as a custodian in the school. She works very hard for the Co-Op and asks that any who purchase her handiwork remember to pray for her.

Alba Iris Feliz Olivero, or Sujaida, lives in Nazaret near the Emanuel school. She has three children: Pamela, Peinado, and Miguelito. She enjoys working with the Women's Co-Op and hopes to learn more to develop her skills.

Yanilda Melendez Rosario lives in Nazaret with her six children. Yan Abel, Sandin Abel, Amin Abel, Abel Bethoven, Isaac Abel, and Isabel Damaris. She has been a single mother since her husband passed away a few years ago. She is a hard worker and enjoys making the Christmas ornaments for the Co-Op.

Zeneida Volquez de Mendoza is the third leader of the Co-Op. She is also the secretary of the Mission Emanuel administration. She and her husband, Lalo, live in Nazaret. They recently adopted a little girl, Dahira, and are loving the opportunity to be parents.
