In the midst of COVID-19, we continue seeking new ways to serve our community in Cielo and Nazaret. Access to quality healthcare has always been a distinguishing characteristic of our ministry, as few clinics or physicians offices exist in our part of the city. Because of our established relationship with El Ministerio de Salud Publica, last week, we offered COVID testing on-site, as well as a mobile vaccine clinic for children and adults in the community who were in need of routine vaccinations or flu shots. We also had counselors on site to help eligible community members enroll in our national health insurance programs. In total, 338 people were able to be served on Mission Emanuel’s property, and we’re so thankful to partner with El Ministerio de Salud Publica to complete this work!
