Have you ever been to Walt Disney World? Did you meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse? The characters are the public face of Disney World, but it is the thousands of people behind the scenes who make the magic happen for all who visit Disney World. The same thing is true for Mission Emanuel. Mission trips (including construction projects, children’s ministry, home visits, Women’s Co-op activities, and serving in the medical and dental clinics) are the public face of Mission Emanuel’s work. But the hardworking US Core Ministry Staff are the ones who help make the magic happen.
What are the responsibilities of the US Core Ministry Staff?
- Handling the countless logistics for more than 400+ short-term missionaries traveling within a total of 15+ weeks per year
- Serving as a key resource to our Dominican Core Ministry Staff for all programs and services
- Cultivating and matching donors with projects that match their interests
- Collecting, posting, tallying, and acknowledging all financial and material contributions
- Designing, preparing, and processing all external communication to the 1,800+ people in our database
This Feels Like Overhead; I Want to Support Ministry
The plain truth is this: no one is overhead. Each of our staff is doing direct ministry. We simply cannot do the ministry of Mission Emanuel without support from the US Core Ministry Staff.
How Much Should I Give?
Your monthly commitment is totally up to you. Our goal is to raise $100,000 annually from regular, ongoing, monthly commitments. These funds will help support Mission Emanuel’s US Core Ministry Staff. And every gift moves us closer to that goal. Every gift matters.
